Loss of a Teammate
Support the Kaczkowski Family

The Navy SEAL Foundation team was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of a warrior and teammate, LCDR Alex "Kaz" Kaczkowski.

Alex's loss is being felt deeply across the Naval Special Warfare community, and most profoundly by his family. As the NSW community mourns alongside them, the Navy SEAL Foundation is working closely with the family to provide immediate support during this incredibly difficult time.

In honor of Alex's life and service, the Navy SEAL Foundation has established this donation page to directly support his family and help provide for their future.

Thank you for standing with the Kaczkowski family with your generosity, compassion, and care.

LCDR Alex “Kaz” Kaczkowski. Husband, father, son, brother, SEAL. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he met the love of his life at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He has three beautiful children with his wife Kalpa.

A man of many talents, he played football, did jiu-jitsu, wrote music, rocked out on guitar, painted as a passion, loved traveling, acted as grill master, read anything he could get his hands on, out-ate the competition, and never ever stopped learning.

He passed on his love for sports to his three children, whom he loved deeply. He was happiest playing soccer and baseball with them, shooting hoops, teaching them new things, messing in the water, pushing them on swings, water gun fights, building, watching sports, or just being together. Therefore, any given day you would find him with his family, cheering for them as they swam, danced, played soccer, or just messed around. He would do anything for them because they were his world.

"A true warrior and leader, Alex's path of service was distinguished by his invaluable leadership during high-stakes deployments with SEAL Team TEN, SEAL Team FOUR, and Special Reconnaissance Team-TWO. His ultimate contribution was to the future of the community he served, as he dedicated himself to shaping the character and skill of the next generation of leaders at SEAL Team TWO, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

The legacy of his impact on his family and the SEAL Teams will never be forgotten.
